Recording
Focusrite Voicemaster Pro

This is my main recording channel into the computer. My VMpro has the digital output option, and from there it goes into the computer.
Akai
DPS12
 The
DPS12 is a hard disk recorder that offers 12-tracks of CD-quality
uncompressed audio, optional internal effects, timestretching
and SCSI CD-R support for backing up data to CD or writing audio
CD's directly. My DPS12 is currently in retirement as I have moved exclusively to Logic these days. See my Akai
DPS12 site for more info.
Mackie
1604-VLZ

This is a great little 16-channel 4-buss
desk, very flexible and good sounding. I use it as the front end
to the DPS12 and Logic.
Tascam
DA-20
 The
DA-20 is a budget DAT machine that supports most of the professional
features. It will record at 48, 44.1 and 32KHz, allows SCMS to
be turned off permanently, and it comes with an infa-red remote
control. This doesn't get that much use these days but is always
handy to have around.
M-Audio Digipatch 12x6

The Digipatch is an S/Pdif and Optical patchbay that lets you route digital audio in a similar way to conventional patchbays. All my digital gear is routed to this (Computer, dat machine, DPS12, Roland reverb unit, Focusrite, XV-5080) so consequently I can route anything to anything else, and also remotely from Logic as the Digipatch will change memories via MIDI.
